Objectives of the Company

A) The main objects to be pursued by the company on its incorporation:

  1. To manufacture, produce, lease, rent out and trade the products of handicrafts, handloom, textile and other similar products for the benefits of members.
  2. To organize, establish emporia, art galleries for the exhibition of all types of products of handicrafts, rural, small scale village, handloom, Khadi, textile and cottage industries for the benefit of members.
  3. To provide, assist, give training and expert advice in the areas of the products of handicrafts, rural, small scale handloom, Khadi, textile, village and cottage industries including technical advice and to other awards, scholarships and prizes for the same for the benefit of members.
  4. To do the business of consultants and advisor and give information on time to time basis about the new policies and procedure advised by the GOI on production of different handicraft, handloom and textile products along with future prices for the benefit of members.
  5. To provide techniques of mutuality & mutual assistance.

B) The Incidental and ancillary objects:

  1. To enter into any partnership for sharing profits, amalgamation, cooperation, joint ventures reciprocal concessions or otherwise with any firm or company so as to directly or indirect benefit this Company.
  2. To purchase or otherwise acquire the whole or any xxx property, rights, assets and liabilities of any firm or company suitable for any xxx purposes of this company.
  3. To establish, provide, maintain and conduct or otherwise subsidize research laboratories  and experimental workshops for scirntific and technical research and experiments and to undertake and carry on all scientific and technical researchers, experiments and tests of all kinds and to promote studies and research, both scientific and technical, investigation and invention by providing subsidizing, endowing or assisting laboratories,  workshops, libraries, lecturers, meetings      and conferences and by providing the remuneration of scientific or technical professors or teachers and by providing for the award of exhibitions , scholarships, prizes, grants and bursaries to students or independent or otherwise and generally to encourage, promote and reward studies , researches , investigations , experiment , tests and invention of any kind that maybe considered likely to assist any of the businesses which the Company is authorized to carry on.
  4. To issue, or guarantee the issue of, or the payment or interest on the shares, or other securities or obligations of any company or association and to pay or provide for brokerage, commission and underwriting in respect of any such issue.
  5. To make, draw, accept, endorse, discount, execute, issue and negotiate, cheques , bills of exchange, promissory notes, and other negotiable or transferable instruments.
  6. To borrow or raise or secure the payment of money in such other manner as the Company shall think fit like securities charged or based upon the undertakings of the Company or any part of its property , both present and future, including the uncalled capital and the rights of the Company or without any such security and upon such terms as to terms as to priority or otherwise and generally to borrow money in such manner as the Company shall think fit.
  7. To receive grants, loans, advances or other moneys on deposit or otherwise  from  the  Central  Government  or  State  Government,  banks, Companies, Trusts or individuals with or without allowances of interest thereon, subject to the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
  8. To carry on any other trade, whether manufacturing or othe4rwise, which may seem to the Company  capable  of being carried  on in connection with any of the Company ‘s objects or calculated directly or indirectly to enhance the value of or render profitable any of the company’s properties or rights.
  9. To appoint trustees (whether individual or corporation) to draw securities on behalf of and to protect the interest of the company.
  10. To enter into contract for exhibition of posters and advertising boards on and in the vehicles and premises of the Company and also for advertisement on tickets and other forms issued by the Company to the public.
  11. To take suitable steps to enable the Company to carry any of its objects into effect or for effecting any modifications of the Company’s constitution or any other purpose which may seem expedient.
  12. To undertake, carry out, promote and sponsor rural development including any programme of promoting the social and economic welfare of, or the uplift of the public in any rural areas and to incur any expenditure on any programme or rural development and to assist in the execution and promotion thereof either directly or through-an independent agency or in any other manner . Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing programme of rural development shall also include any programme for promoting the social and economic welfare of, or the uplift of the public in any rural area which the Directors consider likely to promote and assist rural development and words ‘area I  shall include such areas as may be regarded as rural areas under Section 35 CC of the Income Tax, 1961, or any other law for the time being in force or as may be regarded by the Directors as rural areas. The Directors may, at their discretion in order to implement any of the above consideration or at such fair or concessional value as the Directors may think fit and divest the company of the ownership of any of its property to or in favor of any public or local body or authority of Central or State Government or any public institutions or trusts or funds as the Directors may approve.
  13. To undertake, carry out, promote and sponsor or assist any activity for the promotion and growth of the national economy and for discharging what the Directors may consider to be the social and moral responsibilities of the Company to its workmen ,consumer sand the public or any section of the public as also any activity which the Directors consider likely to promote national welfare, social, economic or moral uplift of the workmen , consumers and the public or any section of the public and in such manner and by such means as the Directors may think fit and the Directors, may without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, undertake, carry out, promote and sponsor any activity for the publication of any books , periodicals or newspapers or for organizing lecturers or seminars likely to advance these objects or for giving merit awards , scholarships , loans or any other assistance to deserving students or other scholars or  persons to enable them  to prosecute their studies or academic pursuits or researches and for establishing, conducting or assisting any institution, fund or trust having any one of the aforesaid objectives.
